Today, we travel north to St. Anthony. We will make a quick stop at The Arches Provincial Park for a photo opportunity before heading to the Northern Peninsula.  Keep a look out for wildlife along the way.  Today we will visit the Grenfell Interpretation Centre and museum before enjoying the Viking Feast tonight (Overnight, St Anthony 2 nights)

This morning (weather permitting) we are taking an exciting two-hour boat tour. Enjoy the Scenery and watch for whales, seabirds and more, all the while taking in traditional Newfoundland music.

This afternoon we are headed to L’Anse aux Meadows, a UNESCO World Heritage Site for a tour to see how the Vikings lived.

Today we make our way back to Gros Morne National Park.  Along the way we stop for Lunch in Port au Choix, then a visit to the Port au Choix National Historic Site for a guided tour and the Point Riche Lighthouse.  We depart there and head to Broom Point Fishing Premises for another short tour before heading to our hotel for the evening. (Overnight, Cow Head)

This morning we travel into Gros Morne National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site for the Western Pond Boat tour that is talked about worldwide.  It is located in the Long Range Mountains and it the most Northern section of the Appalachian Mountains.  There is a 3km moderate walk into the pond which takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour.  Here you will see a land locked fjord, wildlife, a waterfall and so much more.  In the afternoon we head to Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse for a little more exploring and to hear more about the beautiful park. (Overnight, Rocky Harbour 2 nights)

Today we take a scenic drive to the Tablelands.   Here we have a guided tour of the Discovery Centre and a moderate walk to view the earth mantle.  Here is one of the only places on earth that the earth mantle is exposed.  After our guided tour we will take a leisurely drive down the route 431 between Woody Point and Trout River before heading back to Rocky Harbour for a little free time on your own.  Tonight, we will be entertained by the local Anchors Aweigh band.

Today we head east to one of Central Newfoundlands most picturesque communities, Twillingate.  We will be making a stop (weather and time permitting) in my home community where I was raised for you to see the views I grew up with. Later in the afternoon we will make a stop at Prime Berth Fishing Heritage Centre.  This is located over the first causeway as you enter Twillingate.

This is a day of different little excursions.  Some free time, a boat tour, a trip to beautiful Long Point Lighthouse.  This day is all about seeing this Beautiful community. Tonight, you will be wowed at the Twillingate, New World Island Dinner Theatre.

We have all heard about the 9/11 tragedy and the way the town of Gander came together and treated their unexpected international visitors.  Today we travel to Gander to enjoy a Come from Away experience.  A guide will take us to the different areas and tell us all about that tragic time and how the people of Gander and surrounding communities came together to assist people even when they did not have too.  After the tour we will head to the town of Clarenville for the night. (Overnight, Clarenville)

Today is all about scenic driving and coastline.  We will travel from Clarenville to the town of Bay de Verde which is on Conception Bay also known as Baccalieu Trail.  We will pick up lunch before we head to the Baccalieu Trail in Red Head Cove.  After we leave, we will drive through small communities including Carbonear, Harbour Grace, Port De Grave, along with many others.  Our destination today is the Doctors House Inn in Greens Harbour.  Tonight, is about relaxing and enjoying this 100-acre oceanfront sanctuary.  We will be served a 5-course dinner this evening.                 (Overnight, Greens Harbour)

This morning we travel to St. John’s Signal Hill where Cabot Tower is located. Cabot Tower was built as a monument to celebrate John Cabot’s 1497 voyage to North America.  We will (weather permitting) hear the Noon Day Gun fired off and have a guided tour to hear the history of Signal Hill.  Later today we will head to the most Easterly Point in North America, Cape Spear. Here there is ocean further then the eye can see, visit Newfoundlands oldest surviving Lighthouse and take in a guided walk.

After an early breakfast we head to Bay Bulls to take a boat tour (weather permitting).  Here we will sail to Witless Bay Ecological Reserve which is home to the largest Puffin Colony in North America, home to over 500,000 puffins and millions of other birds. With any luck we will also see some Humpback whales.  Afterwards we will head south to take in a scenic drive before heading back to St. Johns for some free time. Tonight we will have our farewell dinner.

Today, we say good-bye to my home province. Having made many new memories and hopefully new friends.  Flight times and airline to be determined. Airport Transportation to either Niagara Falls or Fort Erie (same as pick up locations) will be provided upon arrival in Toronto.
